Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a fault diagnostic circuit which can diagnose the fault in every channel of a multibeam-antenna receiver. CONSTITUTION: The amplitude values of the signals which are received with a plurality of antennas 1a-1n and converted with converters 2a-2n are compared with the ideal amplitude value which is generated with an amplitude-value generating circuit 5 based on the maximum amplitude value obtained with a maximum-amplitude-value operating circuit 4 in a comparing circuit 6. The amplitude differences obtained in this comparison are averaged in an average- value operating circuit 7. The angle for the amplitude difference is obtained with an angle operating circuit 8. The histogram which outputs the angle where the maximum times are obtained is operated in a histogram generating circuit 9. The fault is judged with a judging circuit 10 based on the angle of each antenna channel and the angle where the maximum number of times are obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
